Hell yeah. Hope I’m quick enough on the draw come pre-order day part two.

the motion controls in Skyward Sword were great despite what some people might say. they worked extremely well. the only real problem with them is you had to manually re-calibrate the controller far too often and I’m sure alot of people didn’t even know that was a necessary thing to do. if you don’t manually…
I bought the cart too even though I am very very unlikely to play it anytime soon. Needed it for the collection but also like having it so if a friend misses out and wishes they could play I can lend it to them.
I now realize I’m more thinking about a noir detective, Ray Tracing.
As someone with very limited gaming time on his hands, Level Based game design is an absolute godsend, specifically due to the brevity of the challenges. Even if theres a lot of levels, whats the issue if the levels are all short and sweet? If anything, that just gives one a long list of satisfying stopping points.
> disillusioned and disappointed that 3D World a) isn’t a 3D world, and b) feels like a rehash of every other 2D Mario I’ve already played enough thanks
I’d also love to see this. I also don’t get the broadly negative consensus from Kotaku towards this release. It stings that it’s a re-release, but I still think it’s a stellar entry - and I say that as someone who isn’t a fan of the post-SNES 2D entries/art style.
Unavailable for purchase. If you’ve already bought them and they took them away, people would burn Nintendo HQ to the ground.
I like to think they’ll make the games available for purchase individually, probably $20 each, but who knows. I’m convinced this is just a marketing ploy to drive up sales for the financial…
Literally waiting for it since the day I bought the system, partially because I am one of the few who had the Wii U and wanted the rest of the world to actually get to experience this truly great game. Also because I can now finally put the Wii U into full storage for good.
Earthbound and Mario RPG have their own issue, but if you’re talking about 3rd party titles, it’s easy to see why. Money. Capcom makes way more money selling the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection than they would putting Super Street Fighter II on the NSO service. Square would definitely rather put Chrono…
I know with a lot of From games the framerate is tied to motion speed so you can’t just bump up the FPS
720p 60fps > 1080p 30fps all day
Yeah, I feel the same way. In fact, my girlfriend who is positively shit at 3D platformers managed to beat the entire game because the controls were so good. Sure some levels took a bit long cause she had a hard time learning some new skills like the long jump, but it was never because of the controls that she had a…
The original on Wii U is literally my favorite Mario game. I say this as an older gamer who has been here since the NES days. It’s the perfect mix of tight “2D” linear game design, with the more open movement of a 3D Mario title.
“Super Mario 3D World just doesn’t play as effortlessly as I’d expect of a Mario game, a feeling perhaps compounded by this re-release coming hot on the heels of last year’s Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a compilation which included some of Mario’s best 3D outings. Add in a wonky camera that only gives the player a bare…
I just wish Sony would release an official patch to do this. Even if it’s just for PS5. I have no interest in modding my consoles.
You could also just google the definition of source code and you would know.
Here’s the thing, though. There’s thousands of streams on Twitch where everybody’s chill and having fun, and every weekend there’s at least a dozen streamers raising money for various charities.
Absolutely, I’m a fan of their “blue ocean” approach to the industry. Without the big N, who else is gonna try all the crazy innovations on each console iteration?
Time, maybe. Effort, I would never question a game dev’s effort. This shit is hard as hell.
