Adding to the madness is CA’s law decriminalizing even heavy drug use while pregnant. I kinda see the argument as it doesn’t make sense to criminalize mere addiction, but using while pregnant...heavy drugs like heroin, coke, meth...intranvenously even...that’s likely condemning the baby to a mess of a life.
