To be fair, the blurb about that one acknowledges the intent. Seems odd to choose that in an article about racist cartoonists though.

I posted this in reference to Nast’s ‘White Man’s Government’. It’s crystal clear that this drawing was sympathetic to the plight of black people as were many of his works. He did caricature corrupt black leaders though.
