I got some first hand experience with the exceptionally flat tracks. The NOLA Indy car race was fun to attend, qualifying was a blast, however the race itself was a bust.
The facility was rushed because the schedule changed it from a late season race to one MUCH sooner (like 3 months) than planned. The grandstand

The main reason to lock it out at the start is to reduce the number of carbon heaps littering the initial packs. If they do a standing restart, apply the lockout for a lap or 2 as well.  It may remove a bit of opportunity, but its more for safety.  I would rather the lockout than them mandating bumper car style rails

Think it would be better to have it more like the push to pass button in Indy. give the drivers a set amount of DRS usage per race. Have flagged safe zones they can use it in littered around the track instead of a straight here and there, but remove the detection zone crap. Have it be a finite resource that drivers

Agreed. However if you have limited mobility like the guy in the video or the prior owner lost the book, good luck.
That aside, it is a REALLY stupid design that you need to ether pop off an access panel or know where its at on the Cadillac. If the battery dies the locks and latches SHOULD default to open and remain

Most likely to keep the fence hangers eyeballs from seeing in and having them buy a ticket.
The good show of faith would have been to hand out tickets to the event for the people in the immediate area.

Seems like water balloon launcher time. A few posts, some elastic cord, and some oiled filled balloons launched trackward would definitely get the point across.

Also it seems like they intentionally pulled the turn 5 complex as close as possible to the houses. They could have profiled the trumpet bell section directly

The State should have forwarded the benefit to them in terms of better school funding and as you said local business grants to prep for the race week and it’s future impacts.
Instead they did the racist old white Florida thing and just ignored minorities and anyone not rich enough to have a direct impact.

The actual brakes instead of fat footing the gas in reverse.
OH! I got a better idea of how to stop this. Mandatory re-certification for driving licenses say. Once every 4 years for sub 30, 8 years then till 60, then back to 4 years.

The less actual fix way... put catch fences at EVERY Florida intersection with a

The best thing Ive seen was a blow up doll stuck under the rear bumper.  looked like a body hanging under it.  The guy got stopped in like 3 minutes.

no no no. buzed by the “freedon convoy” going about 90mph next to them.

The facade density is inversely proportional to dick size.

And toss the modifiers that do this on a road bike with a racing seat, no pads, and force them to ride from one end of Houston to another. If they dont finish it in under 3 hours they have to do it again the next day. starting in rush hour traffic.  No guards.  Just a house arrest anklet to track them.

Hope the cyclist goes forward seeking charges for the aggravated assault this jackass with a cotton gin for a brain seemed too eager to commit.

Seems the Mazda MX-30 EV is a rear suicide door with no center post.
I can’t recall if it was Lincoln or Cadillac that had suicide doors on a convertible 4 door. Think it was Mercury that I saw at a Barett Jackson that had 4 normal opening doors whit no center post on a convertible. That was a bizarre thing. Only one

Like I stated, they have them as half doors. As for a full door, I’m sure it has been done in some of the older cars. Ive seen normal swing 4 doors with no B pillar in old doors. They have a few in the 30's as well, but doors then were more an aesthetic thing than a load bearing or safety component.

#0. slideshow website formats that bust the comment scrolling so you can’t see them.

So a Ionq 5 or EV6? Most populated areas have 5 hours of highway driving be under 300 miles.

The glass frunk is perfect for a little baking oven to cook cookies in while driving long distance.  Even has a little slide out tray to serve them to you.

It is a shockingly clean looking design outside the silly looking hood. Some LED driven fiber-optic lines for lighting across the hood or the plastic light tubes would make it look unique and not really drive the cost per unit for it out the room.

suicide doors wiht no B pillar are a thing already. Chvy has em on the half door quad caps. Has for a while. The RX-8 and Veloster had them with the half rear rood things. I’m sure they have been around for longer than that too.
