Just toss it on the dashboard or sticky mount it to a side window on the sunny side. no reason to stick it out in the sun for a regular maintenance. If you need a larger charge then get a more efficient or larger panel for inside. They have some made to work better in indirect sunlight instead of sitting on the car

So about as safe as a Wrangler in a wreck.

If they are trying to get minimalist down they went too far. You MUST nail execution and materials for things that get touched and looked at.
Tesla feels a weird middle-ground from a rental spec Chrysler and a mid market Sonata.

I guess it’s the same issue people have with eggs and honey.

I’m trying to remember when the Prius wasn’t rough and trashy. Sadly it still is compared to about any other hybrid. Thank dog it has the legacy myth of the Toyota appliance driving its sales.

That’s exactly why I bought an eTron.

Take a walk through any Toyota, Honda, Lexus, GM dealer lot and have fun finding any car where the bumper matches the quarter panels or where the doors are the same color as handles and fuel filler doors. It’s a damn joke.

A tesla in not white and the larger tire size is 132k toss on the big brake pack that retails for about 8k from brembro but Tesla charges $20k for the privilege and you have a car that costs the same if not more than the Tycan. Can’t wait to see it compared it to a Lucid.

The Tycan S and eTron GT have MASSIVE brakes compared to the Tesla. The manufacturer knows what to expect and built for that possible demand.

The carbon ceramic brake issue in normal traffic isn’t an issue because the electric motors will do most of the daily brake work.
The option should be about 6-8k in hardware costs for people off the street buying a conversion component. The $20k Tesla is charging is a fuckin joke.

But the plaid IS sold as a performance car.
It needs the hardware reliability and readiness of a six figure performance sedan. Every other brand nailed the brake fade and heating issue.
Why is Tesla still far behind?

The benefit of a hybrid or EV is that the electric motors will do the brunt of the stopping to regen the batteries.

They do however bind down the last 5/10 to 0 in cars. The pads in constant contact will drag still on the disks to maintin contact.

EV’s do have an issue to glaze over the brakes more often if you don’t

Good news. The Tycan and Etron GT didnt have the issue as well as the uuruusuus and the RSQ7/RSQ8 as well as the top level trims of the Porsche SUV’s.  BMW and Mercedes also squashed the brake fade issue with proper sized and vented brakes.

They have race cars with more demad on brakes than this and they don’t have the luxury of stopping to cool an inadequate brake system on the road side.

The system on the Tesla is inadequate for the weight. They BARELY pass DOt insections. The electric hargesting aids a lot to it but that system isn’t available if the

Ummm. $20k for carbon ceramic brakes???
A top brand set for a car that size and weight should be about $8k at most. The labor swapover for the option should be already covered from assembly. The “cost” to pull a set of disks and pads are nonexistent and equal to just pulling from a different pile compared to the stock

Diesel turbine or propane powered generators set to have a boom.

Why stick with a v8 when you can dance the exotica with a v10?

The insta-hicks tend to like whatever their host bank account is into.

Ummm. a specific set of country girls. VERY specific.

That’s perfect for a “pickup” in bro town.  It draws a certain set of men to you.
