This is a weird take. It’s not Apple’s fault that iMessage is very popular and solves a bunch of problems that SMS can’t handle. It’s the Android people texting in my groups that break my iMessage threading, not the other way around. iMessage didn’t make SMS worse, it just shows the weaknesses within SMS.

I had a Wrangler Willy’s 4XE as a rental Jeep in SoCal about two months ago. It had around 6000 miles on it and the battery absolutely wouldn’t charge above 1%. Now I know, rental, I know, but what on earth causes a problem like that in a vehicle not even 12 months old yet?

Credit to VW for listening to the public flog them for how awful that touch and swipe UI/UX was and going back to buttons, however, so many manufacturers are still just lazily “gluing an iPad to the dash” and calling it a day. Don’t try to integrate the screen into the overall dash design, just stick it *HERE*.
