Careful... my 2013 Outback was very heavily FWD-biased. It was 90/10 unless it detected wheel spin, and then the intrusion of the system was very obvious.
My experience is the exact opposite. Subaru’s CVT is no worse than anyone else’s CVT, sure. But a good, current automatic is much better in every way.
Also the GLI is a VW, so pass.
If we’re honest, even a quality 7EAT would be a huge improvement over the CVT, especially on an engine that actually has some quality output. The FB25 with CVT was soul-crushing in my 2013 Outback.
