Reminds me of a ‘95 Buick my parents had growing up. Father had it in the shop to replace some ball bearings at around 100k miles.

Hmm, I think age-induced knee pain has changed my opinion on this and find myself taking the white car (automatic) instead of the wife’s black car (manual) when I know I’ll be stuck in stop-and-go traffic.
Trucks/SUVs are safer. Cars with more mass are safer. Sure, if you crash head on, but most of the cars you see in ditches are poorly handling SUVs/Trucks that rolled over on their own with the slightest panic steer/brake that, if were Mazda Miata’s, would have avoided the accident in the first place.
I do know where this one came from though... If you grew up in the 70s, you remember your parents trying to get rid of that car before it blew up because it was shitty malaise era garbage. Old habits die hard.
I was waiting for this. Happens to be one of my favorites.
“Pickups are good in the snow.”
These things look Jeepy, but don’t have the capabilities of a dune buggy, much less a Jeep. Try driving one of these on the beach, and see what happens.
I fell off of Dexter by the time the last season rolled around, but watching that trailer reminded me that its title sequence remains one of the best short films of the 2000s.
Just John, I think.
He went to a perennial doormat and won a Super Bowl while the genius who was supposedly the source of his immense success coached his team to a sub-500 record. I once could have bought that Belichick was the real driver in NE, but it’s clear that those championships were very much a joint effort. Brady’s a weirdo,…
Quarterbacks have absolutely gotten better. There isn’t any evidence that new safety rules have any causation on player health or career longevity, either.
See, it’s the opposite for me, without cruise I’ll look down and find myself going 85 or 90. My standard operating procedure is to set the cruise for 5 over. On the interstate I travel most often the speed limit is 70 or 75.
I don’t know about grade D, I don’t think the bridge has lost a fight yet.
They are on Amazon now....and no, not kidding. They have gotten worst, WAY WORST. Sample category: Human and dinosaur relations.....
Not a big stretch for the folks drinking fish tank cleaner and eating horse de-wormer.
Related: Idiots who are going slower than you who have to make a lane change in front of you NOW. Except they don’t.
The problem here in St. Louis is people not understanding or ignoring yield signs. We had a whole series of yield signs replaced by stop signs because idiots/assholes wouldn’t yield, now we have to stop for no reason.
Actually, the DMV is one of the few good things about Missouri. I’ve never had to wait long, and if you have all your paperwork, it’s only a few minutes. If you get a two year license, you just renew over the internet after an inspection every two years. Easy.
I don’t know how I feel about extending the saga of the Sopranos. The adulation around Tony is indicative of an issue that I’ve had for a long time with gangster movies in that a lot of people — a lot — confuse these cautionary tales about tragic, deeply fucked up people, as exciting, aspirational heroes. Having grown…
In what way should she look good? Her punishment was definitely disproportionate to her “crime,” but her actions were not commendable. No one else’s actions really were either, though.
