I wouldn’t say Square got anything right with Sazh, or most any other character in FF13 for that matter. Perhaps Square’s weakest entry in terms of plot and characters in Final Fantasy history (from a generational entry comparison sense), FF13 bows down only in shallowness when compared to FF15, which boasted no plot…

Only because visual novels are not real video games. Art with words, most of which are not even voiced....

Agreed. Honestly, FFVI has always been their best title (generationally speaking). The day they remake it with modern art and graphics will be the next time I truly get excited about a video game. Valhalla is superior in most ways to Odyssey, and does address most of what you brought up.

I love the ME Trilogy, and it contains some of my favorite video game characters, and much as I loved ME2 (beat it 10x or so over the years), I always considered ME3 a superior game.

Cyberpunk 2077: Decent game at its core, but marred by bugs-a-plenty, too many undercooked and unfinished features to list, a(nother) horrible UI, unoriginal and mail-in RPG mechanics, and most of all, antiquated gameplay mechanics.

Cyberpunk is a mediocre, overly buggy, and at times laughable experience, from CDPR, who in my humble opinion are perhaps the an unjustly heralded AAA dev team out there.

And it’s an awful zone too with a terrible introduction.
