The nature of video companies will always be like this. The problem with them is that with the rise in popularity of gaming and investors/stakeholders, the expectation for them is to run like some S&P 500 business. The problem is that video game companies do not make every day products (deodorant, food, pet supplies)

LOADING TIMES? Bioware? Who would have thought.

Just out of curiosity, what’s with the Switch and Chain-Gang games? Xenoblades 2 just featured it, now this? Something about two characters chained together just feels gimmicky to me, and makes me lose interest. Not sure why.

Argh! No US Shipping :( And I took all that effort to get an account created on Square’s god-awful, outdated website. Maybe they can use some of the proceeds to bring their website up to speed from the year 2004.

Now playing

I’m not sure Takahashi (or whatever his name is, the creator—I used to know these things like 10 years ago) really had a solid overall plan. He had ideas, but no concrete design, which is not atypical of any writer planning to do a long series, since they piece things together as they write and construct them. I

Yeah. Video game stocks have taken a worse than normal beating following October’s correction. Take Two is in the 80's right now ... even after the good earnings from RDR2. Down from 132 or so before the correction.

The fact is, most large companies exceeding 1000 employees have many redundant and unnecessary positions. I work at a privately owned corporate firm. I was part of a 30-person large software development company that was sold to a 600 person company. The integration was laughable.

I might actually buy this. Moving into a new house, need some wall decor ... and I always loved this portrait in the game. The resolution of it always seemed vastly superior to anything else in the game.

Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style for PS1.

What a bunch of babies. It’s porn. It always has been and always will be steered towards straight men, since that IS what the majority of men are and always will be, and that is who it was originally intended for (at least in the format you are used to consuming and relating to: modern day porn; internet porn

The main reason Japan continues to remain this way is because 97% or so of its population is born and bred Japanese, and it always will be. Culture only ever really changes if the majority fight to change it, and usually that change is spurred by warring/conflicting beliefs, backgrounds, and a certain sect of people

It is a shame. I actually really enjoyed Disney Infinity on PC. I put around 100 hours into it entirely unexpectedly, and this coming from a 35 year old male. It had charm, it was entertaining, the characters were varied enough on a technical level, and some of the world building elements were enjoyable.

It’s a shame she isn’t voice acted. Fran’s FF12 English dub was one of my favorite voices in any game (and yes, her voice had a love it or hate it following). That, and she’s one of my favorite FF characters of all time, eclipsed maybe by only Celes and Terra.

“They may take her life ..... but they will never take her HENTAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” ::inspirational music plays in the background::

Agreed. Bioware is not a flexible enough developer to tackle the MMORPG market. Their games have always shared the same fundamental flaws: they tend to be linear (level-wise), they are highly instanced, and they are very, very, very prone to looooong loading times. SWTOR felt and played exactly like their single

Agreed with Ozamataz. I’ve been online about 12-15 hours and there is surprisingly very little griefing, and when there is it’s in very short spurts.

Yeah, Notoriety in Online mode isn’t near as harsh or hard to raise/drop as it is in Story Mode. Literally, my bar will go from way down to way up in under a hour and I’m not even sure why sometimes. I’m almost maxed right now and I’ve done a lot dishonorable things. Some missions reset your bar entirely. Not sure if

I’ve never understood this mentality: because a female game/comic/fiction character is designed as being overly sexualized in nature, with an emphasis on tits and ass and scantily clad bits, that the character designer(s) had to be “absolute pervs who may not have *ever* seen an actual woman outside of internet porn

That’s pretty awesome, actually.

RDR1 was definitely more “video-gamey”. RDR2 is a different experience. A better experience. Deeper characters, deeper story, deeper gameplay, though still suffering from all the game engine issues Rockstar is well-known for (clunky movement, broad turning radius, annoyances with having to line your character up
