Romance in this game is just a novelty “For laughs” feature. It really has no impact on the game like in Mass Effect or elsewhere. There’s a few humorous cut-scenes later on. One with the old woman is pretty good.

First DLC is nothing to write home about. More of the same and a limited map. But the second DLC (Pharaohs) was really good. A lot of content, huge map(s), and some alien looking areas. Neferiti’s Golden Plains is one of the coolest zones I’ve ever seen in a game. That DLC alone is worth it.
I have news for you people: men were the predominate fighters in the world and the predominant sex (culturally) since the inception of what we know as the human race into the world. This has only been balanced out (in America) to some extent over the past few decades.
The original two Tomb Raider games were some of my early PS favorites. I played the revival a few years ago, though it was mediocre—to linear and streamlined for my taste. I played the last one for about 6 hours before quitting due to the straight-forward path and lack of open-endedness.
I’m still sad about the WoD cancellation. I enjoyed the old video demos CCP was showcasing regarding technology they planned to use in that game world. From what I had gathered, they were focusing it to be a socially-driven MMORPG beyond anything else, which is what most of that market lacks right now, considering…
It IS the weakest expansion they have ever released. Easily. I’ve made a lot of posts in various areas about it ... but people want to believe what they believe. It’s almost like mass-level indoctrination simply because an invisible general consensus says that it’s “GREAT!” Culture experiences this a lot, but has more…
I think my original post dribbled on long enough to highlight my overall point key point: the expansions from WoD to Legion to BFA are not much different, from one to the next. They are, in essence, more of the same, which is what this article was going on about. I didn’t intend to call out every single feature added…
Warlods of Draenor, Legion, and Battle for Azeroth are all the same expansion, in essence. The exact same formula, slightly tweaked, with most of the game-improving things occuring not within the expansion itself but between them, during pre-patches (such as the animation and talent changes pre-legion and the world…
There’s a level 110 (bugged) in Stonetalon Mountains.
You guys in the media and internet are overreacting to these issues. I’ve already leveled 2 characters past 60 and 2 up to 40 since the patch. The leveling pace is so much nicer now. 99% of the players won’t encounter any bug in the field, so what’s it matter? I’ve encountered nothing game breaking or problematic,…
::Recalls back in the early Ice Age days, walking into his local card store where they had a Black Lotus on sale for $300.00. Remembers begging his Mom to buy it for him, which she (of course) scoffed and told him to get real. Still has all of his old magic cards, including many Shivan Dragons and the good ole Vesuvan…
The best modern Point and Click Action game reminiscent of Quest for Glory that I’ve played is called Heroine’s Quest, available on STEAM for FREE. It’s truly a great game, with a ton of variety in how you solve quests, and some very challenging puzzles throughout. Fully voiced. Old school graphics.
Just another one of those over-hyped Steam jobs. Pretty common stuff, really. Nothing special about it.
I enjoyed both. DoW 1 definitely had a longer lifespan and a far more accurate depiction of units and races. The voices, the array of units, the variety, the scale — the game felt far more epic than DoW2. DoW2 was more of a hero-based game that didn’t realize or understand how to really emphasize its heroes. To me, it…
Game plays awful by today’s standards, but back in it’s day it was a pretty fun and tactical game. And difficult. I remember having issues with many of the missions. Had some great battle cries.
It’s annoying that it hasn’t, too. Just to get it to work these days is a chore, and the resolution is just so awful by today’s standards.
Oh. Total War, I guess.
And this constitutes # 1,537,278 god-awful Warhamer/40k game. Good ones? DOW1 (and expansions). DOW2, sort-of. Chaos Gate. Total War 1 +2. Shadow of the Horned Rat, and my personal favorite, Dark Omen. The rest are mediocre to poor. Maybe I’m forgetting another gem, but at the moment any such titles escape my mind’s…
I died today. Thank you for your condolences.
I agree completely. Honestly, and I just said this to someone the other day, “I really don’t even care much about stories in video games anymore. If I want a great story that I’ll remember, I’ll try to find myself a good book to read.” I play video games for the interaction and immersion factor. Reading a book, I…
