They sound terrible because they are dry and emotionless. there is no subtle changes in tone or pitch that often carry a lot of meaning.

lol letters of support are not protected or included in any sort of laws or rules about our courts. they are emotional appeals, that’s all. A lawyer is just doing their job. A person writing letters on behalf of a diddler is a choice they made. 

Personally, if I had a friend who was known to have, or accused to have diddled kids, I would not remain friends with that person, nor would I write a letter defending them. But I’m weird like that.

Yeah, like...I’m all for felons being hireable once they serve terms (that’s kind of how serving a jail term is supposed to work), but FFS the crime and the context have to be considered. In the case of a sexual predator who victimized kids, YOU DON’T LET THEM WORK AROUND KIDS.

I’m a HUGE VR fanboy, I use my Quest 2 near-daily, but man, the PSVR2 just doesn’t have sufficient software to make me want to buy one. Horizon and the Until Dawn Rush of Blood follow-up both interest me but not $800 CAD interest me.

Madame Web made $400K in what will be its final weekend in theaters. It will finish under $45M domestically when it leaves theaters on Thursday. If you want to see this train wreck in the theaters, you only have a few days left and you’ll probably be the only person in the theater. 

I have mixed feelings about Kung-Fu Panda 4.

It’s not bad, but it’s easily the weakest of the movies. They had to cut corners and you can really tell. And laying off the animators after the fact feels in really bad taste.

Just saying if they make a Kung-Fu Panda 5, we’re setting a concerning precedent.

Oh yeah, Messiah is definitely happening. We’re going Godfather 3 up in this bitch.

If there is a central lesson to this weekend at the box office it is this: keep your film budgets sensible. Kung Fu Panda 4 cost $85 million so it will earn Universal a profit. Dune: Part 2 cost $190 million, but because it had great, consistent creative vision with no-costly CGI reshoots, it will earn Warner a profit…

With Dune: Part Two north of $500 million worldwide box office, I think we’ll see Part Three. I can’t imagine bringing in Anya Taylor-Joy just for a glorified voice over role. There has to be some promise of the third movie.

8K is going to be a joke for a long time, but for “better than 4K” on a 4K television.. well.. really what we need is 4k @ 60fps (or higher). Like take FFVII Rebirth for instance, you can have 60fps “performance” or (not)60fps “Graphic”. Not both. I hope systems and devs work on getting both of those checked off…

this seemed legit till we got to the Tflop number. That much of a difference would easily push the ps5 pro to $1000+ unless they have some atari jaguar math to try and bs it.
