I actually think the problem has less to do with the format and more to do with the queens selected for this season. The only queen in this bunch who was known on her season for killing lip syncs is Aja. AS2 was full of season 5 queens, which I would argue had the most great lip sync battles of all time.

I dunno - I’m remembering quite a bit of criticism of the Legacy format back in AS2, where there was similar complaint that the lipsyncs seemed lower energy than in a normal season.

Im so surprised that people on here arent loving her. I dont find her overtly dramatic, she puts sisterhood first and didnt get bothered by Thorgy at all until like the 4th time something came up (and even then, to me it felt like Trixie’s disregard for her feelings). She’s been killing it basically every week!

I got to see Latrice live once, I think it was 3 years ago, and it was every bit as amazing as I had hoped it to be :) She’s my all time favorite.

I love the idea of first (or even 2nd) episode eliminations. I’ve seen that suggested for Big Brother/Survivor/Amazing Race shows and I am into it. I’d love a big queen season too.

I’d love more experimental/off format seasons! If VH1 demands more Drag Race, I hope that’s what we get, rather than more of the same, and bringing back queens that struggle with the extremely comedy and performance focused All Stars.
