I thought the original actor for Daario was far better, his cockiness made him stand out from the crowd of characters.

He is supposed to be a dumb fuckboy douche, turning him into an earnest mopey lover undercut his character and frankly noone missed him when he left.

Exactly. Season 3 Daario was much more what I imagined the character to be (without all the colored hair and weird beard-ery).
