They’ll milk it for as many fake out deaths as possible. I think that killing of Felicity will be powerful, but predictable. Also, I thought she was going off to join the Atom TV series whenever that gets off the ground, so if she does die, she might not stay that way.

What crime noir have you been watching/reading because the stuff I’ve seen and read have always been a bit over the top. Especially the dialog. Hoo boy, the slang filled dialog.

It’s neither. It’s a crime noir. Closer to the Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep than to the two you said.

I don’t know if I’d describe this as “bizarre”. It’s an effective bit of advertising, nothing new, and, moreover it’s just kinda fun. I don’t think we need to pick apart fun things. Well, internet decorum aside.

Y’know, Snyder gets a lot of stick for the Watchmen, and yeah, sure, there is no denying it is simplistic and superficial.

I thought Man of Steel was a decent mix of the Byrne stuff (which that in and of itself is controversial) and Waid’s Birthright story. And Superman kills, folks. It's only as a last resort, but he does. Deal with it. (And this is from someone whose favorite comic is All Star Superman and hates the current Superman…

I loved it. But then again, I like the majority of Snyder’s movies, so I’m usually in the minority myself.

I’ve always read Supes as a pretty somber fellow, so the evolution in the films towards Man of Steel didn’t bother me one iota. Visually, this movie DOES NOT hold up well at all. But dammit, I still enjoy John Leguizamo’s Clown in Spawn and I will never apologize for that; I’ll just watch it by myself with a bottle of whiskey because no one else will join me.
