It's not the time zones; MLB isn't concerned about the fans. It's about money from the advertisers. 20-30+ years ago games were earlier if not in the afternoon. That's fine. Someone's gotta pay the bills. But this false narrative that MLB cares because fans want the games shorter is just silly. If the games decrease

No because the game is slow paced anyway. Like someone else said, if it's not an important game, you just want to relax and watch the game while going about your business. If it's an important game, you don't care what time the game ends.

I don't get this whole "We need to hurry this game up!" thing. I have never in a million years thought to myself "Boy these guys are taking forever." I have however said "Why the fuck is the World Series starting at 8:30 PM?" Even the Super Bowl starts at 6:30 PM.

Especially when you consider NFL games take just as long.

Does MLB try to fix these speed issues in the minors? Because it's pretty silly to let them do whatever they want in the minors for 2-3 years and then all of a sudden be forced to do something else once they reach the majors.

What does the amount of money a player makes have to do with getting comfortable in the batter's box?

I wonder who makes the decision for him to look like his grandfather. I mean would you want to be the one risking your life by saying "Hey you should look like your granddad!"

Honestly, probably not much. It's all he knows. It's not like North Korea just started killing people when he was 10 years old.

And people wonder why athletes hate signing autographs. They deal with this shit on a daily basis.

Yea it's strange that famous people pay for sex. I never got that either.

$600 for a blowjob? Uhh Warren...there's this thing called strip clubs where they'll do that for like $50.

You mean A-Rod has 275 million reasons why you shouldn't feel sorry for him.

I can't be the only one that is finding it harder and harder to follow the NFL.

Let's not suck Peter Angelo's dick just yet. He only refused scabs because of Cal's streak. He knew he could capitalize far more on that that some replacement players that were probably only going to stick around for a week or 2 anyway. But the damage would have been done and the streak over.

Because sports is entertainment and people forget that. This romanticism with baseball's past needs to stop. Old time players weren't the saints the media portrays them to be. Owners were racist; black players weren't allowed to play for the first 80 years. Players cheated all the time. The reason we have 4 umps is

Kobe is right though. How many people have super close relationships with friends as you get older? You like them because they have similar interests, and you can BS with them. But once you are an adult, you do your own thing. I grew up in NJ, pretty much lost contact with all my friends except one or two after HS. I

Yankees got to retire A-Rod's number right? Yea they are all pissed and bitchy about paying him now, but once that's done and over with, I don't see how they don't. Might take 10 years though. Time heals wounds.

The Yankees are celebrating the players fans grew to love as they won the WS or had long careers with the team. You are making it sound like they are giving a ceremony and retiring the number of every Kevin Maas or Jesse Barfield on the team.

I used to work at Pizza Hut about 20 years ago. We didn't sell pizza by the slice. We sold either personal ones, small, med or large pizzas. But we sold Slice, the Pepsi version of 7 Up. So every once in a while, someone would come in and order a slice. Then they'd get confused when you handed them a soda.
