I’m an old but listen to 95% new music on Seattle’s KEXP. I’d rather hear songs I’ve never heard before than the same stuff I’ve listened to for forty years. I was in a pop punk in the 1980s and our stuff was closer to G.L.O.S.S than Whirr. I just listened to both songs for the first time and my completely unbiased…
I have seen GLOSS several times (as well as the other band) and personally I don’t find either of them good. GLOSS is helping make some room for queers and trans in the punk scene, but their music sucks and regardless I find their look pedestrian and cliche.
