It’s almost as though having a 24 year-old write cultural and historical criticism will invariably lead to shallow, half-baked results.

I think he could’ve gotten away with is if he didn’t make that second tweet :/
Not so:
Maybe not. But being that the outcome was his death, I’d say being unarmed was a strategy that failed.
I agree. It is only part of an approach to self defense.
Actually you did. The lesson here isn’t carry a gun, the lesson is situational awareness. Self-defense is so MUCH more than being armed. Unfortunately there are places you have to keep your head on a swivel and be ready to react in an instant.
It’s not repairable. It’s re-creatable and requires exotic materials.
That’s different than being unbreakable as Invertex described. An object being repairable, whether in this game or in real life, does not make it indestructible. It requires maintenance that the Master Sword does not, and frankly, the Zora Trident isn’t that powerful to justify constantly fast traveling to repair it.
I agree that the weapon isn’t worth the grind, but the Zora Trident totally breaks.
See, I always just assumed that each Zelda game was effectively a reboot from a story perspective and that they all stood alone with no connections to any other Zelda (with a few exceptions like Majora’s Mask). To me trying to fit all of them into one Timeline is like trying to sort all of Hawkman’s backstories into…
Boy am I glad they didn’t go with modern guitar wielding link. Ugh.
It seems people still dont get that photo realism is the worst for video games. Give me good art direction not a real looking leaf. I live in real life.
Why would you want Zelda to look more realistic? Would you want Studio Ghibli movies to be live action instead of animated? I’m happy with how it looks.
I don’t think Nintendo would flat out stop making Zelda games. They might cut down on the smaller scale projects, but to flat out stop Zelda would be a disastrous decision. Outside of Mario and Pokemon, Zelda is their other big franchise and in terms of critical reception, it has almost always been the highest one.
piracy is never a reason for lower sales. I firmly believe that people who pirate on console is a very tiny, tiny %
I agree 10,000%, and shutting the door on someone is known as “unlawful acceleration”. Charge the bastards!!!
Honestly I don’t see what the white Sequoia did wrong; it appears to be stop and go traffic, it also appears there is a left exit or split coming up (watch till the end), the Sequoia signals to move into the lane, there was a white accord directly behind the Sequoia therefore if the Sequoia slows they’re slowing…
Possibly usability. If there was no start screen then there might not have been an easy way for a gamer who doesn’t know anything about running roms to play the game.
I will go with the option: “If I release the original it will become worthless, maybe if I keep it just for me, in some point someone will pay me good money for it.”
“The integrity of the ROM is good,” TheRealPhoenix said. “There are real alterations but [they are] harmless.”
