"The viewer wants to be raped!"
Probably more fun than this page.
That explains why I've never seen you post before.
I guess that makes sense. But if that's the case, then why nitpick?
We were never supposed to like the Griffins anyway. In an interview, Seth MacFarlane said his goal for Family Guy was to subvert and mock the sitcom trope instead of match it. He said Family Guy was supposed to be the opposite of The Simpsons.
Dude, what's the point of watching still? Doesn't it get tiring? You obviously hate the show so why keep harping on it?
This was WAY better than last week. Usually, I'm on the fence about Family Guy doing episodes like this, but they nailed this one down. There wasn't one story I disliked. The cynical approach to all of them (especially Little Red Riding Hood) definitely made "Grimm Job" worth repeated viewing.
I think the FG writers just need to take time crafting storylines and jokes. One way this could work is if they get a veteran writer/showrunner who's been very successful in the business and could mentor them. Not every joke is going to be funny, but they should keep up with the mundane observations. That's something…
I think the show's golden age were Seasons 1-5. Season 6 is where it became great and Season 9 is where it became only watchable.
Pretty meh episode. Kind of interesting how the plot shifted twice and then kind of wrapped up all loose ends. But it's not worth watching again.
Hey, I know you probably don't like that guy who has to shove something down your throat, but you seem to have the critic's eye. Would you like to read this episode of my TV show? It's the Season 2 premiere and I posted it on September 29. I'd like to see how it would stack up against the big guys (The Simpsons,…
Had a chance to catch the episode on demand today. Definitely had a "meh" feeling to me and it was almost as if they wanted to reach for humor that wasn't there. Not one of Family Guy's better outings.
I'm giving this an A-. Almost every joke landed hard and by the end of the episode, I found myself almost crying because of how beautifully done the second act was. This was the perfect Family Guy episode.
