I’m going to reply to my own post here.

What is this? Invasion of the morons who read Jalopnik, but haven’t got a clue how to repair their own vehicles?

You must be drunk, if you think paint would be that much.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of idiots in here that don’t seem to understand that there’s a difference between what a random repair shop will charge you, and what it actually costs.

No, $500 in parts and labor. If used car dealers and wholesalers paid anywhere near what you do for repairs, they wouldn’t be in business.

Apparently, you’ve never heard of wholesale costs. Almost all these parts will come from a parts wholesaler.

You do realize that there’s a major difference between what insurance pays, and what it actually costs, right?

That’s really not that bad. I used to work for a wholesaler (where it was my job to get all the wrecked cars repaired), and that’s actually good damage. Might have some work around the strut tower, some fascia, and a new fender, hood, bumper cover, and headlight, but that’s all less than $500.

This is exactly why I cannot stand when poor, dumb people whine about police brutality.

This is a total repeat of a DUI accident I observed right from my porch. The dude hit two cars, lost his right wheel, got stuck in the lawn, kept trying to get out, and ran like hell.

You’re welcome, Britain.

I don’t think it’s reflective of reality at all.

I always laugh at the ‘flyover’ comments about Utah, and the negative attitude visitors have.

I’d say the greatest crime here is having to be face first in a NYC street.

Yeah, biking through an obvious barricade is a bit disorderly.

No one likes you.

I think there’s ways to monotize this.

Jesus, you don’t know how to admit being wrong. I’m done.

What state do you live in where it is not?

You think being a woman means you’re well-versed on the concept? Apparently not, because you clearly just demonstrated that you’ve no grasp on it.
