What did he say that was so egregious? Did he defend Louis CK or Roseanne? No. Is saying that as society still haven’t found our equilibrium when it comes to the power of social media a horrible or offensive statement? No.

To be fair, this a New York Times interview where he just seems to be trying to give honest answers to the questions posed. It’s not like he’s tweeting this or issuing press releases with his opinions.

Let’s all imagine how apt a comment that would have been if this had actually contained anything about her complaining about how difficult it is being her. As it is, just dull-witted boilerplate “lol celebs should stfu” sludge, apparently written in reflex to a celebrity’s name being in the headline and nothing else.

Finished rewatching all of Brooklyn 99, which I think is the rare comedy that starts out strong and gets better season after season. Hard to pick a favorite episode from the later seasons, though the episode long interrogation one is a great demonstration of how good Braugher and Samberg are together.

It still boggles my mind just a little that “Heartbeats” and “We Share Our Mother’s Health” are by the same band.

Waiting to get some feelers on the new Kurt Vile. It’s been getting “average” reviews, but it could either be because it’s “average” or the traditional lazy critic tendency to taper off enthusiasm after an artist’s later releases (e.g. ‘Daze’ is an amazing epic, worthy of the artists Vile so loves, ‘...going down’…

My hot take is that people who dislike Radiohead spend way more time talking about Radiohead than people who like Radiohead.

I’m glad to see Conan shifting with the times, he really is a smart dude and I think he can see that he has more to offer than just being a late night host in a time when that field is more fractured and varied than ever. I’m excited to see the next incarnation and check out the podcast.

I’m grateful to say I saw a taping back a few years and saw the band live. They are *tight*.
