Also, some Steve Gunn — another great Kurt Vile associate.

I really enjoy In Our Heads. One of the better Hot Chip albums IMO
These are the songs that have been stuck in my head all week.
That was nice.
Well… Clearly this Jefferson character is the determining factor.
I sure hope they don't replace that late ’70s Jefferson Airplane tune with a late ’80s Starship tune.
I agree with that, but it just feels like there's more to the phones than that: As I mentioned re: Log Lady having two phones next to each other; also, Lucy’s breakdown when Sheriff Truman came into the station on his cell phone; The woman answering the 911 calls so efficiently; The Blackberry and the old flip phone…
I can’t decide if there's any significance to it or not, but is there something about all of the old telephones/tech? It's amusing that a lot of the older characters seem to have newer technology (iPhones/Skype etc.), yet there's no shortage of rotary or push-button phones. Log Lady uses a corded phone with a cordless…
I was totally anticipating an episode of Monty Python’s Flying Circus when Jerry was running out of the woods.
When funeral came out was just about when Pitchfork was at peak insufferableness, IMO. Or is that the return to form you're referring to.
I agree. At least Reflektor isn't boring like Suburbs.
C'mon, tell me who leaked it.
I'll be your friend…
Aw, you're mean!
IDK, MOTU and Nonagon seem pretty proggy to me, and those are the two I'm most drawn to. There's something I like about the high-concept album structure — Nonagon Infinity especially — even when it's a bit silly.
Wait… does that mean it's not lame. I can't keep up.
Yeah. The replacement is a neat cover, but has seemingly no connection to the music.
My love of King Gizzard has driven me to find some more prog to listen to. This is not an easy task. So much terrible, pretentious prog to sift through.
Motorik beat? Table tennis? Nice!
Man do I love Ram. I had been a Beatles fan for decades, but hadn't checked out Ram until the reissue a few years ago. * puts on Ram *
I worked in NYC at that time, and it totally made sense to remove the song (regardless of how I feel about it as a song).
TUSK!
