It really is. It seems like many of the reviews didn't like the inconsistency across the album, but I find it makes me appreciate the songs individually. I find a new favorite every few listens.
I should do that. I tend to come across them for bands I already like. It's amazing how many of them there are.
I was watching their NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Makes me think they'd do a pretty fantastic live show.
This week I stumbled upon Big Thief. Enjoying their album from last year.

My favs are Self-titled, Teenager of the Year and Dog in the Sand. Though, I love the title track of Cult of Ray a lot. I could do without Kicked in the Taco.
I need to revisit Frank Black’s albums. I loved his music for many years, but he lost me somewhere around Black Letter Days.
It's how they communicate.
