Drug addicts and drunks are always depressed when things don't go their way and it can take its toll on a person. I agree with Gene to a degree.

Gene has dealt with so many drug addicts during his time in rock music that he has no empathy left. I can relate.

The only time I get depressed is when I hear a KISS song from the 80's.
