I’ve had one Toyota. It was reliable as hell. It was also the worst car I’ve ever owned. Just. F***ing. Awful. Never again. Reliability ain’t everything.

Fck the Prius. Driven it, been driven in it, driven behind it, beside it, and ofcourse I’ve seen it. None of those were good experiences.

You’re not going to win THIS argument. However, Toyota’s are no longer any MORE reliable than most other competing cars out there. Also, they are boring as fuck. Like really fucking boring.

My distaste for Toyota mainly comes from two sources:

I got the chance to drive a prius last month and it is as terrible to drive as I thought it would be. I drove it for 40 min... not just a quick spin around the block. Awful, just awful.

This. Toyota once seemed intent on making boring cars. Now they seem intent on making ugly, boring cars which trick unsuspecting people into thinking they might not be boring.

As a Toyota-driving enthusiast

Toyota is the “nice guy” of car companies. May have plenty of decent qualities wrapped in an inoffensive, safe package, but no one *lusts* after these things.

People hate Toyotas because the are designed to appeal to people like these:

Calling BS on the Camry (and Toyota lineup in general) having a humble and honest look. Toyota has the most overstyled cars on the market. The current Camry, before the refresh, was humble. The newest one and it’s massive grille are the opposite of humble.
