That's ridiculous. You said it yourself, it's legally all that he owes you. Oculus gave people what they were owed, it doesn't need to go beyond that.

I'm confused tho, isn't kick starter more of a charity than an investing opportunity? I mean, you're giving money to people and in return you get one thing (depending on your donation) whereas if you're investing in it, you receive money from it?
