I used to be able to find mini-kegs of Virgil's root beer at Cost Plus World Market. It was a metal keg, about 18 inches tall, with an extending plastic tap built into the bottom. The whole thing was printed with a full-color illustration from the Virgil's label. I don't drink alcohol, so I've shown up to a few

I just read that Lili Reinhart (Betty on Riverdale, probably the best actress on that show) was cast in the Galveston adaptation. And the book was excellent.

Wow, who knew?

That was a really well-written article. I love reading about the intersection of food, culture, and history, and I love fish tacos. If you ever come to Orlando, our best fish tacos are from a tiny Latin-Asian fusion place called Tako Cheena. But we also just got Rubio's here, and it is terrific.

We have a seafood place nearby that serves fish or shellfish broiled, served in butter with a Ritz cracker crumb topping.

I like salt and a sprinkle of cumin on watermelon.

I love balsamic vinegar over strawberries, especially if you slice them and let them soak in it. Then try that as a topping for decent vanilla ice cream. You're welcome!

I love key lime pie and any other citrusy desserts, and anything contrasting salty, sweet, and sour flavors. A few years ago, I made that Atlantic Beach lemon pie, but instead of the recommended Saltines, I used RITZ crackers, and I can only imagine it came out even better due to the rich, buttery flavor. Ritz were

Wildcats 3.0 made me a huge fan of Dustin Nguyen's art, too. And to this day, I've wanted action figures of Grifter (not in his original Jim Lee costume, but one of Nguyen's updated looks) and "Jack Marlowe" in the shiny suit.

I think that was Betty's mom, Alice Cooper (yes!), demeaning Hermione at the party, not Ms. Grundy.

Foster was awesome in 3:10 to Yuma and even in The Mechanic (both remakes of Elmore Leonard adaptations). He's one of those quiet actors who completely disappears into roles and never gets the credit he deserves, like a young Gary Oldman.

I read this novel after getting obsessed with the first season of Pizzolatto's True Detective. It's really good — similar voice and setting to that excellent first season. The talent involved is great, too.

I KNOW, right? Some of my all-time favorite comics. Authority went downhill when Ellis left (I usually can't stand Millar's work, dating back to then), and Casey's Wildcats series 2 and 3.0 make up another one of my beloved runs.

Of all of Brubaker's collaborations with Sean Phillips, Sleeper is far and away my favorite. It helps that I loved the Wildstorm Universe ever since Alan Moore wrote WildC.A.T.s (and created TAO). But there's no better espionage/noir/supervillain saga, nor could there ever be.

I don't watch Gotham, but if they do it, good for them.

I'm still sore about all the Kord references, and even a mention of Ted Kord in Arrow season 2, and Brandon Routh even being cast with Ted Kord in mind, and obviously written with some of Ted's attributes. But they were told someone at DC or WB had "other plans" for Ted, so we got stuck with Ray Palmer as the Aldi

Not really. The Question is more of a street-level vigilante (who would actually fit in fine on Arrow, so much so that I'm surprised they haven't used him). He's more likely to go up against corrupt politicians and their hired goons than any weird sci-fi antagonists. And he'd show his face plenty as crusading

I'd rather see The Question — muckraking journalist, who is also a paranoid conspiracy theorist, conceals his face and becomes a rakishly-dressed vigilante, busting crime and corruption in his decaying city.

I agree, they really need to introduce Starman to these shows.

Yeah, so much wasted talent and potential. I find her incredibly hot, so I cannot complain about all those sexy pop videos, but she's a much better MC than most of the major male hip hop stars out there, I wish she was still rapping.
