We just watched Wishful Drinking on HBO GO the night she passed away. It's available now for anyone who is interested, and it shows just how clever, witty, and damn resilient she was.

Okay, I'm almost done with volume 2 of Descender, so I'll be caught up through #11. I thought it started a bit slow, but it got really great, really fast.
Hopefully they got Alura Jenson.
Savage Dragon. I binge-read the first seven thick Archives editions and several of the more recent trade paperbacks this year, so that's the first 175 issues and a good chunk after that, probably missing a handful between #175 and #200. But I loved it. While it is often ridiculously violent in that '90s excess way…
But he sure hates it!
I've heard that line in edited versions as "Melon Farmer" and strangely enough, "Mister Falcon."
SHANE! BUBBIE!
I just discovered my public library offers the first two Descender TPBs through its Hoopla e-book system, which is how I've read tons of great comics over the last two years. They have a good selection from all the major publishers except Marvel.
I haven't read Descender, but I've been a huge Dustin Nguyen fan ever since Wildcats 3.0.
Insufferable is a good word for it. I'd love a modernized Twilight Zone-type anthology with ironic twists at the end, but Black Mirror is all about "Technology is terrible, and guess what, you deserve it, because you're terrible too."
Legends is still dopey, but it's infinitely better this season after the writers learned from their mistakes and wrote out Vandal Savage, the Hawks, and Rip Hunter. Unfortunately we lost Snart too, and he was the best, but new additions Vixen and Citizen Steel and villains who actually pose credible threats have…
I haven't watched wrestling in over a decade (not since the Benoit tragedy), but I used to like the cruiserweights best, like Rey, Billy Kidman, Paul London, and Hurricane Helms. Is that why London never got a good push?
Special waffles like that come and go seasonally. Peach might have been a spring/summer thing, and I've seen them offer cinnamon apple waffles in the fall.
I unironically like Waffle House a lot. It helps that we live near a nice, new, clean one, and we only ever go during the day, avoiding the sketchy scenes that may well play out at night.
I've had the same (GREAT) thought. We may have even discussed it in another comment thread. She'd be so perfect for the Berlanti/CW/DC-verse.
I haven't watched much Black Mirror because it's so unrelentingly grim, bleak, smug, and preachy. Hated the episode where the implants allowed people to record and review video of everything that ever happened to them, which led to revealing adultery and destroying the marriage. I understand that's relatively mild…
"Fresh" and "awesome" are two words I would never use to describe CCR, but I'm happy you're happy.
I'm lucky we have a great college radio station, a good jazz station, and NPR here, aside from the 30-GB flash drive I keep in my car, only half-filled with music. I'm so sick of classic AND modern rock and most top 40 stuff, I never want to hear any of it again.
"Brown-Eyed Girl" is for every college bro to play on an acoustic guitar so drunk college girls can squeal "AAAAAH I HAVE BROWN EYES, THIS SONG IS MAH JAM!"
"Gimme Some Lovin'." More like "Gimme Some Earplugs."
"Fortunate Son." More like "Fortunately I can change the channel."
"Spirit in the Sky." More like "Most obnoxious song ever!"
