She had to turn down Peggy Carter, too.

The awful movie was Generation X. I do think X-Factor (the Peter David version) would make a fantastic TV series, as a mutant detective agency led by Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man. I wonder if they could get Enver Gjokaj after his role in a Marvel Studios show, since he would be perfect.
You are right.
That's all I meant. People seemed to get a kick out of it when it first aired, and they brought it back a second time (which for SNL shows huge restraint).
This reminds me a little of Hader's beloved SNL sketch where he played an intense Vietnam veteran with PTSD attending an ventriloquism class with his puppet and making everyone uncomfortable.
I find Schaal attractive, even though she's not a conventional beauty, because she is funny and weird, and that goes a long way.
I liked Anna Torv (who could use the career bump after being so great on Fringe) and Emily Blunt (who doesn't need the bump), but Brie Larson would work too.
I always envisioned a younger Kristen Schaal, but I'd love to see Ellie Kemper as someone.
I think the first episode that makes you think PoI is gonna be more than just a forgettable procedural is episode 7, where Mr. Reese is protecting the high school teacher in Brooklyn. If you can make it that far, you won't want to stop.
I did not know that!
Frank Zappa even did a Dylan parody voice on the song "Flakes":

Walk Hard is my favorite comedy film of the last ten years. It's brilliant on every level.
I won't miss Natalie Portman at all, but I wouldn't mind seeing more Kat Dennings, if you know what I mean*.
RIP Fox's Sherron Inn in Miami. It was one of the city's oldest bars, and it was like walking into a song Tom Waits wrote in the '70s. Surprisingly decent bar food too, and a killer jukebox.
Constance Wu was good in a low-budget sci-fi movie called Parallels, which felt like the pilot for a TV series with its very open-ended ending. I've seen a few episodes of Fresh Off the Boat, and she's fine on it, but it isn't my kind of sitcom. She's talented, funny, and gorgeous, so I'd love to see her in more…
M'lady.
Long live rockabilly girls who dress the part!
And slashed the suits with straight razors mounted to long wooden sticks.
I saw Combustible Edison live TWICE back in college, along with Royal Crown Revue (at the '97 Warped Tour!), Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and lesser-known swing/lounge/retro acts like the Mighty Blue Kings from Chicago and Atlanta's Seven Foot Politic. And that's not even getting into the ska, surf,…
CPD, despite the terrible name, could do it all: swing, ska, punk, funk, straight-ahead rock, and even metal and country.
