My guess would be cost. Making a lens that’s half amber, half red would be more $, and using an amber bulb behind a red lens just wouldn’t work, but a red bulb/reflector behind an amber lens will give you quasi-red light.

It was, and I’ve heard that you can bolt the supercharger onto those but have never tried it nor do I know exactly what’s involved in the swap. 

I’ve had two, don’t miss the fuel economy but man was that thing a BEAST in the snow! I need to get another one and 5 speed swap it :-P 

We need this in brown, with a manual and a turbo diesel V8.... And an RS8 Avant with all wheel drive and a V12 turbo diesel :-P

And one could probably pretty easily swap it out for a 4L60, although being a Bentley I’d imagine it has like 2.50:1 highway gears in it :-P

It’s also a respect thing, because us Americans taught the Japanese a lot about engineering and automotive things, which boosted the Japanese auto industry post-war, it’s sort of an homage to us, that their cars are badged in English. 

My friends mom had that exact van, minus the supercharger and plus a manual transmission :-P But same color.

Buddy of mine used to have one just like this one, I thnk his was a 99 though, but same color albeit with tan interior. I’d find a good detail shop and send the perps the bill. I’ve seen minivans get traded in that make the average hoarder’s car look clean, and they come out a day later looking and smelling like a brand new car.
