I grew up on comics. I read them voraciously to this day. In my opinion, Avengers is the first and only MCU film to truly capture the wonder and excitement of reading the old comics. It made me feel like a 10 year old again. Say what you will about the bland additions MCU has churned out in the past several years, Aven

I don’t give a blue fuck about the alleged inconsistencies and deus ex machina failings of LOST. I loved the show when it aired, I continue to love it in the present, warts and all. It is the pinnacle of ambitious, mass-market television. And, I disagree that it left as many questions unanswered as many seem to

I agree with your sentiments regarding BSG, and it is also one of my all-time favorites. And, you’re right, the religious iconography and mythologizing were literally present within the first fifteen minutes of the Pilot, and continued throughout the series.

I was honestly shocked at how bad the new Pet Sematary is. And, I suppose, very disappointed.

I prefer to think of Never Let Me Go as a perfect novel.

I am truly ashamed to admit that I am very physically attracted to Elizabeth Holmes.

This is awful. A tragic waste of life.

I am reveling in this news drop. I’m practically giddy.

Interesting. I see where you’re coming from, but I had the opposite reaction. It took way to long to arrive at the resolution, and then Theo’s catharsis near the end was instantly engaging and heart-wrenching. I am happy you thought it was great, I did as well.

Totally, but the Vegas chapters were pretty spotty. There were some parts that could have been trimmed away entirely and the book would not have been at a loss for it.

Last month, I commented that I was reading The Goldfinch. Well, I just finished that book and I have some thoughts.

Aside from the obvious interpretation, I’ve always enjoyed (preferred even) viewing this album in the same way as you’ve stated here. I think (and I could be wrong) that Silberman has always been very non-committal on this point as well, enjoying that his fans seem to have all sorts of interpretations, but most of

I can’t immediately think of a song that is even half as gut-wrenching as “Two” - it’s one of those songs I can vividly remember hearing for the first time because, quite unlike the way we digest music these days, I found myself listening closely to every single line, letting the story consume me. It was tragic then

I really enjoyed Black Panther and it is infinitely better than Bohemian Rhapsody, which was complete garbage. On that point you are quite correct.

Criticizing someone for submitting shoddy work product and showing up late to work? The gall of this woman!

The scene is one of the most resonant needle-drops in Anderson’s entire catalog, with Wood offering a warning wrapped inside a wistful lament about the unavoidable pitfalls and heartbreaks of youth, while all the assembled characters sway toward their final curtain call.”

Duh. Didn’t you guys realize the internet is cancer and social media its most virulent form?
