Man, it’s like a huge part of my youth just fucking blinked out.
Yup, you nailed it.
It really is a perfectly lovable and irreverent movie. It’s a fun watch and, growing up, I was madly in love with J Lo Hew and she is really, really hot in this movie. So there’s that.
Of all of these, Superbad absolutely resonates the most. I remember seeing it several years after I finished high school and it succeeded at doing something I didn’t think was possible: making me feel nostalgic for those four years. It really is a tremendously well-written movie.
Thanks!
This show is fucking badass.
“American Pastoral” is a tremendous novel, but “Sabbath’s Theater” is the one I’ll always remember.
REJOICE
I never said Pollard’s albums are not good, or bad. I listen to everything GBB put out, and can’t immediately think of a release I haven’t enjoyed. That being said, the Malkmus highs are much higher than the Pollard highs, and are much more numerous (*in my opinion!*).
Meh. Quantity versus quality. Malkmus is without a doubt more consistently great. I do like Pollard though.
No one writes better hooks than Malkmus. No one.
Exactly this!
This is the first episode of Westworld that is legitimately great.
that they always sound the same.
Plastic Beach is so good. Kudos on the nod.
I like Depression Cherry a lot. I think the opening two tracks are BH at their peak. The rest of the album doesn’t begin to compare.
I mean, I’m of the opinion that they’ve never put out a bad album, so I’m probably prone to exaggeration whenever they do release something new. But this album legitimately feels like a statement against detractors and and certainly a deviation from what they’ve been doing, which is super.
I think this is arguably their best album. Right there with Bloom.
gah reading comprehension :(
