yeah, I could make out the hand. having it change the 'frightful secret' threw me off.

haha i see what you did there!

I'm not sure about price; I'm sure it's on the same scale as current tech. As far as access to resources, thorium is more abundant than uranium in the crust and there is even a large vein in Idaho. The US has about 440,000 tonnes available.

Greenpeace can stfu and gtfo. Seriously? They're basing their WHOLE ARGUMENT on a calculation that has nothing to do with energy consumption whatsoever? And a note to the dumbass wind farmers 'who would like to bring their power to market': your shit isn't economically feasible. Go home, nice try.

c'mon... for everyone complaining about the pilot being able to use his cellphone while everyone else on board can't: the pilots obviously have special interference-free phones specifically designed to not mess with the equipment. science.

Thorium reactors can use up our current stock of nuclear waste and produce waste with a half-life of a couple of hundred of years. We can manage storing waste for that shorter period much more feasibly than across thousands of years as with current waste. Also, thorium fuel cannot be 'weaponized'.

Thanks! I didn't know that. And greenpeace... ugh.

Yeah, quite sad really. Especially since it can solve so many of our energy problems.

Right. With new reactors, the chances of meltdown are non-existent, and with thorium, we can use up our existing nuclear waste AND produce very little waste (which only has a half-life of a couple hundred years opposed to thousands) AAAANNNNDDDD you cant make nuclear weapons with the by-products. Win-win-win-win

Coal sucks. ok. So do wind turbines and solar panels. Want to brighten up our energy future and be less dependent overall on fossil fuels? Nuclear. Nuclear nuclear nuclear. Why the hell are we so afraid of that still?

Wait, so the last trojan I read about for macs here deactivated itself if it found a copy of MS Office on your machine. This one uses MS office to infect the machine. Hmmm....

So... they named their missile the 'no-dong' missile? ha.

wow, i had forgotten just how awful that movie was... :(

Wait... that's the same cow!

Yeah, it can get pretty creepy.

Stuck at work (NW Fort Worth). Cant wait to get home and see if there was any damage...

Not to be a smart ass, genuinely curious, what if the ship isn't registered?

I agree with apple on this one... c'mon. you even put NSFW in the title and after watching a few seconds of it (at work) I immediately saw why (and scrolled down to comment.)

Hahaha yeah. I remember the first time I loaded up that disk. What a surprise! :)

Why not head to open seas? International waters. Solar panels? That would be neat, just because, you know, the whole pirate thing.
