In Lion, you can just fullscreen the apps (most of them, at least), moving each one to a separate screen. If you have a trackpad you can scroll through the screens with a three-finger swipe (or customize to a gesture of your choice). I do this with email and calendar, just because I like full screen for them, but it

My "political views" had disappeared, too, but I was easily able to reset them to "Dangerous".

Huh. Duly noted!

Sorry, I'd been away from my Lifehacker account for a while and didn't see you'd replied. The lists in question are here:

Um, the Classico jars I have actually ARE Mason jars... They say Atlas Mason, and are identical right down to the measuring lines. Don't know anything about a coating.

I loved my Magic Bullet(s), but two of them broke while under warranty; now the third has, out of warranty, and all in exactly the same way: I refuse to buy another one as long as they continue to make the rotor on the base out of that cheap, brittle plastic. Could it possibly be so expensive to make it out of the

Unless, of course, last night's pasta sauce was Classico, in which case the jar is, in fact, an actual Mason jar.

Very cool. I'm not a programmer of any stripe, but if you could suggest how to modify the code to also check for frequency lists (such as how many words in the most common 1000, second most common 1000, etc.), that'd be huge.

I love omelets and eat them often, but why deprive yourself of the joy that is a cold pizza breakfast?

Beat me to it.

What is this "leftover wine"?

You can do the same thing with soup, which performed a similar function in our household. Lunches on the weekends especially were usually composed at least partially of "leftover soup", which was sometimes great and sometimes a tad weird, but always edible. I believe it was just a rolling stock, too — mom just kept it

I'm not quite so lucky as your friend. My beard is moderately thick, if not terribly coarse, and grows pretty fast; my skin is pretty normal as far as sensitivity goes, I think. I do need a soap/cream of some sort (I currently use a brush and shaving soap) and unless I shave in the shower (or really soften up my

I have never gotten a good shave in a barber shop. I shave in the shower with a Schick Protector blades that I use for a month or more at a time, and my face comes out smooth as a baby's bottom and I never nick myself.

I make trips between Japan and the US semi-regularly. I've yet to discover a protocol that always works, but the exposure to daylight thing is huge — get as much as you can at your destination. Pre-setting a watch or clock and imagining what time it is at the destination (and behaving accordingly) does help, too, as

I find that I can walk and listen to an audiobook pretty well, and don't find either process terribly hindered. My retention is quite good, and I manage not to get hit by cars, etc. I can also listen to spoken content while I cook pretty well... However, if I throw texting, checking Facebook, etc. into the mix, then

You mean a *meditation* practice, right? I don't think medication leverages neuroplasticity. I could be wrong, though. ; )

Did you watch the demo? It's quite clear. Hit "L" when the same letter was said two turns ago. Hit "A" when the box appears in the same location as it did two turns ago. If they're both the same as two turns ago, press both. It's pretty hard at first, but when you get good at it the program will move you up to

I dunno. I use Schick Protector heads and I think I change them about once a month. Plus, I live in Japan, so I'm going to say that the shipping cost would offset pretty much all savings. It is a cute ad, though.

I regularly eat leftovers that have been in the fridge for a week or more, and I've never had any problems. Usually, if it looks & smells OK, I'll eat it, although if I know it's been in there for more than two weeks I'll sometimes chuck it just to be on the safe side.
