Maybe because through all the extended works and notes, etc, Middle-Earth is huge but mostly boring as far as the majority of gamers would opine. lots of talking, traveling, feasting, etc and not really much action. Peter Jackson added a lot of extra stuff so it wasn’t a lot of interminable road tripping and hippie…

Tarantino is highly overrated and definitely an acquired taste.

I like (most of) his movies, but they are nearly as perfect as he or his most ardent supporters believe.
