not taking anything away from Wysh’s retort. may be the best piece of writing we’ve ever seen from him. End of the day, I don’t think Teddy is too beat up over it.
Yeah, pretty sure Teddy still wins this one.
Open wheel racing is healthier today than 2002, but would have never been down had the split not happened, which NASCAR capitalized on by taking the money, drivers, technological advancements, etc and using it to fuel its national growth around the same time open wheel racing was fledgling in the US
Oh, excuse me, your honor...two YOUTHS.
Millennials need to take more time at local museums that don’t take themselves to seriously or botanical gardens to really counter the worry of peaking too early.
yeah, there is a lot of undue pressure people put on themselves right out of school. I do think the way people use social media to post what they deem as cool stuff and experiences definitely perpetuates a certain ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ mentality that drives that pressure.
I see a lot of these traits in my world as well. (I work in Advertising/Media). Seems like a lot of today’s youts don’t fully realize the workload required and gravitate to the ‘fun parts’ of the job more and/or have unrealistic expectations of their role - which is essentially show up on time, learn, do some grunt…
First joint bachelor/ette parties at museums and botanical gardens, now don’t get pets because, i don’t know, taking in an animal that requires one to ensure it’s well being requires work? What’s next? How to fake an injury and bilk disability payments to cover living expenses? Jeez, Adequate Man, get your sh!t…
conservative in the sense that they’ll dog a player for dancing and not playing the right way, which appeals to a vast amount of fans. I dont think i picked out the right word, but it wasn’t pointing at Cowherd and Whitlock’s viewpoint, moreso the audience they reach.
It’s also worth noting that about a handful of years ago, when there were grumblings NBCSN starting and Fox launching a sports network in the near future, ESPN starting spending on rights fees like it was Brewster’s Millions. ESPN would have the NHL if NBC’s old contract didn’t have last rights of refusal when it was…
I’m not saying it can or can’t work (the argument could be made that it worked for ESPN during the mid 00's.
But if I don’t get angry, how will I be effective at arguing in internet comments?
when did NC elect a Baldwin brother as Governor?
yeah, totally. I mean the spirit of the post is spot on - don’t just say “yes” to everything and be willing to speak up and/or communicate/prioritize existing workload to find a solution - but the examples in real life practice would come across more off putting than your mentioned method of compromise.
I mean the OPs comment is foolish, but it’s rather naive to think that anyone at an Ivy League school is not privileged in some capacity.
what a great way to be labeled “not a team player” on annual reviews!
So the groups that this is ‘targeting’ (cough cough Greek life) is going to become co-ed, but still be silo’d in a way that allows all the bad stuff to continue and the groups to retain the leadership positions they currently have. WHAT A GREAT IDEA!
Where is the section on local museums and botanical gardens where both the men and women at the joint party can visit? I once heard that those are must haves.
also worth noting Frans Nielson (Another NYI center !!!) was also on the ice and actually the one that moved off of Kucherov on the game tying goal.
