If you’re going to try and tell the story of the 2004 ALCS, Schilling’s efforts in game six would one of the two or three biggest story lines in the series. So yes, it’s odd for whatever reason, that they edited that particular portion out for time demands.

I’ve been trying to put my thumb on where I’ve partied like this before and it finally hit me....The weekend described sounds like an aggregation of every birthday party I went to between 5th and 10th grade, all the way down to crashing at someone’s parents house and drinking while they were on vacation.
