I’m in my 40s. I grew up in a time where trans people in pop culture were seens almost solely as a punchline to a joke when the womanizer character of a show goes to sleep with her and, ha ha ha everyone, there’s a penis. This was essentially the punchline of a movie as recent as Ace Ventura. This was how trans people…
So my honest question is: What about other phobias? People are afraid of snakes. Or sharks. Or dogs. Or guns. Or blood. And do on...
I think there’s a lot of reasons, but one thing I do like is that voice actors actually get recognition. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, cartoon voice actors were faceless. Outside of some people with longevity like Frank Welker, nobody knew them. Now, people have favourites. People appreciate the nuance of a great…
Binge watched it over the past two days. I don’t think it could have been any better. If you would have told me a few years back that, a rough and tough big burly man in my 40s would tear up at the finale of a She-Ra cartoon, I would have called you crazy. But here we are.
Pancakes and waffles are trash. Crepes and gaufres are where it’s at. Fite me.
So a dickhead acted like a dickhead and got called a dickhead?
Twitter idiocy? What on earth did I miss?
I don’t have a Switch so I don’t really have a dog in the fight, but could it be as simple as people wanting a portable method of playing games they love? Granted, it is silly to ask for *every* game to be ported, especially given device limitations, but it does make some degree of sense for some games.
I just started playing PUBG and freely admit I’m terrible at it (my strategy of RUN AWAY is still a work in progress). But some of my deaths have been pretty suspect, with people waiting behind a wall and popping out to get me. Maybe I’m giving myself away, but it seems unlikely.
Important question time (though a potential spoiler request): Does the bird dog die at the end? I don’t think my heart could take it after that much time together...
After the changes to Evernote I went on a hunt to find a solution that best matched my needs. I’ve since adopted Quip as it has a similar heriarchical structure as Evernote, but has some pretty great collaboration features to boot.
How is this different than other situations? If you go to a concert and act like a jerk, you can be kicked out without reimbursement. Same goes for sporting events. Or movies.
Just to be clear, this is about as simple a budget you can have while still working on a professional level project (and even then, I think that they may hit a brick wall during their Testing phase). At a larger studio, they’re also dealing with things like blended rates, absorbed costs, and cross studio billing. Game…
While I'm not gay, I can only imagine how difficult it is to exist in a world where the cultural norm is not something you identify with. Where you are different and you can't explain why. Growing up is difficult, and as the information age evolves, it gets more and more difficult. People are connected way more than…
I have no idea what you're saying or if this is in some way sarcastic... Um... Is it?
I agree completely. The only benefit I see here is to gauge how the applicant handles such questions. Otherwise, who cares? Unless the name of the CEO or the number of offices they have is directly relevant to the position, it really shouldn't be a criteria for hiring.
I don't think we need one, I think it's more natural than that. I think we holistically create one as we learn, grow and create connections. Who we are and how we communicate our skills and expertise creates our own Chubby Tub Thumpa.
I think the disagreement here is what your personal brand necessarily is. I don't think you have to change anything about yourself in order to create your own brand. Who you are, the sum of your experiences, what you bring to the table, that is the crux of what your personal brand is. All you do is put it together and…
I don't disagree. The point I was kind of circling around was that the author of the article seems more dissatisfied with the term "personal brand" than the act of creating a personal brand.
