An idiot doing idiotic things might not suggest that he isn’t “..the average american who buys an expensive car by EARNING the $$$...”??? Clearly you haven’t met the majority of wealthy Americans, those who cheated, stole, defrauded, inherited, lucked into, married into, fell into through connections, or at the very

I don’t think you guys understand how money laundering works...

Tom, I saw you quoted in the recent NYTimes article. Congrats on the free marketing. But man, I hope some of the buyers in the article aren’t your customers. 1980s Mercedes SL, ‘90 3 series bimmer as only cars for people who I’m pretty sure don’t know much about cars??  Not to mention the awful CUV purchases...

Pretty sure those aren’t current pics in the ad. Seller says he’s had it a little over a year; it’s listed in North Beach/Telegraph Hill, and those pics definitely aren’t of either of those neighborhoods. I’m betting those are the pics from the previous seller.

If you want an old Toyota truck, there are much less beat, rusty options for $7,500. If you want a capable off-roader, there are much better options for that price.  I mean, I don't see a 90hp (from the factory) engine moving a vehicle sitting on knobby 31" tires all that well.

Maybe using a healthy limb that thick, depending on the species of tree, isn’t that dumb, but using a mostly dead limb that's already been cut away in spots because it's dead and rotting is downright idiotic.

The 507 has a split grille, but not classically kidney-shaped.

Your mustang was aluminum?

David Tracy has the right answer. Fix the Corvair; needs the least, it’s the easiest of the bunch to work on, plus it’s one the owner seems to be most attached. But also scrap the Volvo wagon; you might get a few hundred bucks for it and even if you do fix it up it will be the hardest and most expensive to keep

Nikola?  Give me a break...

Most horses acclimate quickly to the sound of gunfire. The reason the Army switched to mules is that they are simply more durable than horses.

The correct terminology for VW Rabbits is “slut bucket.” Jason's pick is more of a "WASSP bucket."

Todd needs to sit down and do the math of owning two cars. If he’s driving 36k miles a year, he’s better off with something like a Hyundai ioniq for when “he’s on the road a lot” and whenever he doesn’t need to haul, load up gear, 4 wheel drive, etc. Then put the remainder of the $ plus all the $ from the savings in

Erin, I’m pretty sure you’re conflating service animals and “emotional support” animals. They are far from being one and the same...

The three cars I’ve owned that were more than 25 years old: 67 Volvo 1800S, 74 Bronco Sport, and 89 Civic Wagon. All proved to be good buys and surprisingly reliable. But the one I regret selling most was the Civic Wagon: easy to work on, not collectible enough to worry about keeping it out of the rain etc, fantastic v

Best aftermarket convertible ever: Volvoville for the P1800

$2k + $1k in parts + a weeks work in 2014 for this, or $80,000 for the “derelict?” I’ll take the former—original 302 V8 was tip-top when purchased and with no doors, no top, no bench, and maybe 20lbs rusted off the panels, it was a bullet.  Plus I’d feel a lot more douchey driving a truck that expensive and with that

The caddy is saying that for Golden to make the putt, the ball would necessarily miss the damage to the cup because of the way the putt breaks. He probably just wants him to putt, finish the hole and keep moving instead of having to call over a rules official to inspect the cup, make a ruling, and waste time on a

Exactly. Until the i8, BMW’s design team had been putting out nothing but trash for about 15 years.
