The last time I bought a car from a dealer, my wife’s Odyssey, we had the car picked out, secured our own financing, and had the price negotiated. It still took four hours at the dealer, with two small children in tow. It doesn’t matter how friendly and accommodating they were, it was still miserable.

I’ll try to explain it for you in simple terms:

If its being financed, which most people would be, then it makes very little sense to buy a 1-2 year old used model without a significant savings just based on interest rates available to most buyers.

They spent a shitload of money building out the ability to mass manufacture Model 3s. Now they are manufacturing a shitload of Model 3s at 20%+ profit per unit. Their investments are paying off. It is pretty simple.

That would be an optional $2500. It will come bundled with massaging seats, heated steering wheel (even if you live in CA) and third-row automatic folding. Because all those together make sense for automakers.

That’s what kills me about people writing “articles” like this. What business is it of theirs how much someone chooses to give away, or who they give it to? No one made Bezos give that money away, so no matter if it was $1 or $2,000,000,000, it’s up to him to decide if and how he wants to use his money.

I don’t condone greed, but I also am not one who thinks it’s my job to tell Jeff Bezos what to do with his money.
