Why don't you spend your time considering why the abusers do this to people they supposedly love? Because that's where the problem originates and that behavior makes even less sense than why a person stays with his/her abuser.

How many men go to female doctors for, say, a prostate exam?

I've seen plenty of male ob-gyns with nary a bad experience, but I feel more comfortable with females, and don't feel guilty about it at all.

The older Martha gets, the fewer fucks she gives and the more I love it.

That is SO fucked up. My heart goes out to Danièle for being put through that shit.

I just listened to Kathy on WTF and indeed it was great. I'd watch her host a late-night show. I'd watch Aisha Tyler, too.

It's so insane that you're talking about "protect and nurture" while defending a guy who beat his four year old child so hard the child still has open wounds a full week after the beating.

All I want to know is, can they make semen taste like Fresca?

I don't understand what expectations you have from Robin Givens. She was in an abusive marriage to a wealthy man and he signed off on their divorce settlement, whatever it was. She says she received nothing from him but she would have been entitled to receiving the $10 million reported at the time. She hasn't

So it was okay that Mike beat Robin, and she should just shut up about it?

She also kept her cool and delivered her message even though that interview was clearly very difficult for her.

Because a lot of people felt sympathy for Mike when Robin spoke up about him abusing her.

Or you could think Mike could have refrained from beating his wife.

You recall correctly, and it's exactly why she disappeared from the public eye. She was smeared and dismissed for daring to tell the public that her famous husband was beating her.

Have you ever tried to wash a load of laundry using only a wringer, hanging it all up to dry, and then ironing everything? You'd fall in love with your Maytag, too!

I don't find it surprising he thinks his job is secure. I'm sure his actions are fully in line with the owners' expectations and wishes.

I guarantee it wasn't watched by one person who left a voice mail calling it "terrible" and stuck it in a drawer. Unless that person was the sole individual deciding Rice's punishment, she passed that video on. Because she would know not passing it on would very possibly end in her losing her job.

Because they only care about their profits, and when the public hadn't seen the video they figured they could get away with giving Rice a light punishment. They don't care about domestic violence.

I'll never understand why some designers do their best to make their models look sickly.
