I would lean in the opposite direction specifically because it’s factory. It’s the aftermarket additional boost on a turbo engine I’d trust less.

To me it looks classic, but I’m 46 so my style cues are influenced by the 80s. I love the looks, it’s a lovely car.

The Veloster N is infinitely more fun to daily drive. 

I get the whole balanced argument, but I drove a Toyota 86 and then a Veloster N and the power difference was astounding. Especially since the BRZ (that I test drove) was nearly the same price. Even the GTI rabbit had a bit more punch.  

So that’s the Platinum wash.

I somewhat question Rivian’s ability to ramp up production that fast. I’m rooting for them as I think the truck looks great but 100k vans is a lot of vans in 4 years for a company that doesn’t have a production line set up yet.

I have it on good authority that the Rivian CEO is a pedo*.
