So this is basically a movie-length trailer. Or a movie-length tech demo reel

I think that Epic just didn’t care much about their servers getting DDOSed by overwhelming popularity. They expected this to happen.

The thing is, the “Rian wanted to be unshackled from the cut and dry story” doesn’t really fit because all he did was remix the Empire Strikes Back.

Now that you bring up the Mon Calamari meme... Here is a renowned general that managed to fight off a “fully operational battle station” ... and he becomes an idiot who gets punked  (in another post I maintain that all the characters in this movie are idiots).   Perhaps he was getting old.

I just think the movie was dumb.. and that’s from both looking at it like a Star Wars fan and a regular movie viewer.

There is also a rackmount version of this new mac pro, so they are aiming at datacenters again.

Fair enough.

Not very well researched..  nice try though.

Is there some law against putting these things anywhere else but as a doorbell?

They’ll just steal the tech and rebadge it.  Nobody the wiser.

Right - so I’m thinking that nothing will change. Since this timeline is impossible for China to adopt, nothing will change. They will simply end up rebadging AMD and Intel chips as “Huawei HiSilicon.. made in China” and the govt. officials who made this law will think they made something happen.

He ran a red light.

Elon Musk was that last straw.  LOL   Happy Trails!

Not to mention that the pylon he hit has written on it  “RIGHT TURN ONLY”

They’ll use Huawei parts where they can and rebadge the rest. Super simple and nobody will know enough to check or care.  The person who made this a law probably did this for brownie points and knows about as much about technology as your facebooking 84 year old aunt who forgets how to turn on The Internets.

Its very simple to hit the goal.

Where exactly did he fuck up? That isn’t a parking lot, that’s a street. The Pylon says “RIGHT TURN ONLY” He went and took a left turn into traffic at the red light.

The pylon says “RIGHT TURN ONLY” so he deserves a traffic ticket.

Nope, its a pylon that says “RIGHT TURN ONLY”

I wonder why does anyone take what a spokesperson says at face value? They’re basically paid to lie.  Goes for companies all the way up to government officials... when has a spokesperson ever said the truth?
