"Our concern is that the statute makes it very easy for people to shoot or stab first and to then exaggerate their fear or the real danger," Kidd added.

Wait, so Stand Your Ground is not only racist, but also sexist too?

God knows I'm not a big fan of Stand Your Ground, but there's something especially infuriating about the fact you're gonna have that kind of law... and then... say it doesn't apply to domestic abuse victims? It just makes me feel like my head's gonna pop off and roll down the stairs.

Silly women. Defense is for men!

"(The Legislature's) intent ... was to provide law-abiding citizens greater protections from external threats in the form of intruders and attackers," Kidd, the case's lead prosecutor, told The Post and Courier. "We believe that applying the statute so that its reach into our homes and personal relationships is

"Our concern is that the statute makes it very easy for people to shoot or stab first and to then exaggerate their fear or the real danger," Kidd added.

Hell, even INTRUDERS are afforded more importance than victims.

I SAID GOOD DAY.

Yes, lawmakers and courts. Please do clarify whether these self-defense laws apply to anybody besides jumpy suburban white dudes who want to shoot first and ask questions later if they sees a suspicious shadow.

I absolutely loathe to take South Carolina's side on all matters domestic violence, but part of the reason that they are being sticklers about this law is because the loathable Mike Fair (R-Greenville) wanted to give Stand Your Ground Rights to fetuses. Like, if you thought your kid might be abused by their father,

Our concern is that the statute makes it very easy for people to shoot or stab first and to then exaggerate their fear or the real danger

Stand your ground doesn't make much sense with intruders, and it also doesn't make any sense here. You can't just kill people.

Paula Begoun has been saying this about retinols and sunscreeen for years. Her books "Dont Go To The Cosmetic Counter Without Me" and her site are both amazing and full of great information. She reviews make-up and skincare and has her own line of retinols. I have friends with very bad skin problems who swear by her

Not an anti-ager, but I'd add glycolic acid (at 5 or 10%) to the list of good skincare ingredients that actually do what they say.

Thanks for posting this. When people ask me, I reply that retinols and hyaluronic acids are pretty much the only bankable OTC skincare ingredient with proven results.

Anti-aging ingredients that actually work: Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Vitamin C (the active ingredient), Green Tea extract, Sunscreen (obviously more of a preventative measure) and of course botox and fillers

A French woman I know (and really who could know more about this than a French woman?) said zat all yoooo need is water and sleep.

General life policy: avoid things with French names in small pots. It's like you can stick anything in a tiny container and call it Le Crap and people will pay 200 bucks for it.

i'm glad he is intact

Now every time someone mentions gargantuan balls, I immediately think of Aladdin. Thanks for nothing, Jezebel.

ATTENTION PR PEOPLE. THIS IS HOW YOU DO A PROPER APOLOGY.
