RE: 6th Gear

I was a bit, ahem, naive, in my younger days and was sucked into not one, but two, relationships (perhaps my involvement in the world of sports should have made me a bit more aware).

In my experience, Saab drivers are the nicest, most awesomest, most courteous, sexiest, funniest, most loyal, coolest and all-around perfect people ever. Just sayin'.

That is a problem. I liked the idea of building a new stadium there, but downtown needs the revenue from the Rams and America's Center too badly.

Road salt never should stay on a car longer than two days. Ever.

Great minds think alike.

Well, we are going quite a bick back and forth. Since I have a 1999 Saab 93 with roughly 120k miles, the husband has a 1996 XJ6 with roughly 110,000 miles and I work 45+ miles away, we are looking at getting something that gets better mileage and is hoonable. The Miata seems to fit the bill best.

While I have pushed the envelope a bit on the road I take, it is usually just me on it. If I do happen upon another car during the 12 mile or so stretch, safe driving is observed.

Of course. 1996 XJ6... also had a 1997 Saturn SL that started eating spark plugs and oil at a frantic pace.

As someone who is given to long-windedness and has (surprise!) worked a bit on both sides of the communications fence (albeit in the sports world), I am simply taken aback at the amateur tone of the press release. Not snarky, not witty, not ironic, not funny... simply insane. Way too long and way not edited. Always

Non-gearhead girl says these are a must (and what I know):

As a big history buff and lover of Leo, I was excited about the film, but even as a young girl, I could not stand seeing it in the theater more than once.

Thanks to Oppo, I now totally know what dyno is. Jalopnik has already become mroe enjoyable as the knowledge base expands. Thanks for that.
