Zynga produced a dozen or so crappy clickbait interactive JPEGs masquerading as games. And clearly Rovio doesn’t have many game design teams, they just fired everyone :-P

A response that named dozens? I’d weep for that. Instead I get “shovel knight” and “dreamfall” several dozen times a day. I’m trying to look at the kotaku deal of the day and all i see is the update number next to my name. I click it and get “dude shovelknight” “omg dude have you ever heard of shovel knight”…
I was quite shocked that Zynga had around 100 offices. In NY, they actually had two main, 100 person offices.....on one street.
All to make Farmville and whatever ville.
700 people is larger than the teams behind Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Skyrim. Combined. I’m including lawyers, marketing, accountants, and HR.
I’ve worked with teams of 100 making action RPGs, and know the people behind a few top franchises. Most teams are 100-140 people, but i have seen a few decent mobile games come from a team of 2-3, and that includes PR, marketing, etc. Always a bit confused when a tiny little game like this somehow involves 1,000…
Ah, its not a 70% failure rate, its 100% then?
A very poor attempt, and a complete failure.... sweet! I’ll make $10,000,000 on kickstarter!
I made you feel bad? I’m sorry. I’ll be nicer and pat you on the head more, next time.
That’s not a contradiction. Those were the two exceptions that prove the rule.
The metrics showing their 70% failure rate, proving my point completely? Yes, I remember!
Sweet, like LITERALLY 100% OF MY REPLIES TODAY, you listed Giana. Sooooooooo.....Shadowrun is next, followed by ...?
SWEET. You’re one of only the top 200 to list Shadowrun, and the top 180 that listed Wasteland 2!
...a......SUCCESSFUL kickstarter, that doesn’t run off with everyone’s money? Never to be heard from again? Shocking!
And to head off the 276 replies i received the last time i said something similar, yes, i have heard of shovel knight, dreamfall, and the Pebble.
There, i just eliminated 90% of my replies.
I’m not sure with Japan, but when a few friends lost their jobs at a certain US-based company, their 3-month NDAs also included 3 months of pay
some companies pay you until the end of the NDA, to stop you from being financially forced into applying for the competition anyway.
I forgot about Rainbow Curse, since i was never into canvas curse. But...woo
Handheld, or iOS? Because my 4 year old, $100 iPhone 4 can play certain PS3 games. Getting the NX up to similar specs is another matter, but not so much of one...
If it stayed at 2%, the wii u would be screwed. if it stayed at 2 million, it would be tied for the best selling wii u game, ever.
I’d be so happy! I’d be mostly fine with a mario kart 10 that was on the Nx, both parts, but just ran and looked snazzier on the home version
Pokemon was a handheld exclusive on the 110 million selling DSlite. It was an exclusive on the 50 million selling 3DS. The Wii U is at 5 units over 10 million.
Zelda is coming out next year- likely on the NX. StarFox will likely be released on the Wii U- after 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 are already dead and gone.…
