I don’t know what happens at these combines, but I really want to see something like this happen:

I’m angry that the top GiF isn’t synced with the bottom GiF for some reason.

I really, really want to be playing or watching someone play it right now, but I also want to go through it on my own and discover everything myself. I feel so conflicted.

“There is in fact a time-related bug (a self-check uses time functions to see if game wasn’t cracked by pirates) which was not fixed in time (because we have little to no communicating with Oovee). The bug was fixed a day ago and should be uploaded to Steam - I don’t know what actually prevents Oovee from going with

Tl;dr - Pavel put a time bomb in the code so pirated versions of the game would crash eventually. He claims he had a fix and planned to update the game, but Oovee would’t respond to him. Oovee claims they found the bug a while ago, and are working with Pavel to deploy a fix.

Wait, you can root through neighbours garbage cans?!

Fishing is really hard, but also really fun! You’ll catch a lot of garbage until you get your first level or two in fishing, but even when you catch a fish it’s hard!

Most Harvest Moons don’t have overall time limits. Some have one of a year in which you must marry by, but only a few have ones on which the game ENDS at a certain date (A Wonderful Life, I’m looking at you!)

There is combat, but not in the way you think. In the mines, which you go into to find ores and gems, there are monsters that will attack you. You are given a sword by an old man in the cave (yes!), and can buy better swords and equipment, but it’s more in line with Zelda than RF in terms of combat. Other than the

It’s less about the mechanics being similar, and more about the freedom to do what you want. Yes, there’s farming, yes there is combat, but relating the two would be wrong. I have said that the mechanics are like Friends of Mineral Town, and the story in line with HM 64, but it’s neither of those. Just because it

This game is legit. I picked it up thinking it would be a nice HM clone. Then I started the game. I woke up in the house. I turned on the fireplace. Shocked. I picked up the cup on the table. Awe. Then I went outside.

The game is really about energy management early on. Do I spend all my energy farming to earn money and increase the farming stat, or do I have a small farm and devote the rest to crafting or fishing?

This one is tricky, as co-op is always a difficult feature to add. But if you trust the developer, buy now but wait until it’s added. You can support him and have the game in your steam library to remind you that it exists, rather than forgetting about it.

They’re like the power berries, they exist but are super rare. By the time you can get to them, you usually have a good set up going already.

It draws heavy on storytelling elements of HM 64. It’s a nice town and everyone is nice, but the town isn’t in it’s best shape, the community center is in disrepair, the fisherman is worried that when he retires, no one will take over his business, the major corperation is buying land ect. It’s a lot more grounded in

I always thought of the Rune Factory series as a better Harvest Moon, as it was more similar to the Harvest Moon I enjoyed than the newer ones (Friends of Mineral Town, HM 64). That being said, this one is more in line with the classics: you can still level up skills, but energy management is a larger issue due to not

It seems the developer is planning to add multiplayer at some point (never assume it will be a thing as complications may arise), but you may be able to create a farm with your brother.

It really depends on what you enjoy in Harvest Moon. It’s similar to Friends of Mineral Town gameplay wise, with additional mechanics like crafting objects such as chests and walk ways. Story wise, it’s quite similar to Harvest Moon 64.

While it borrows heavily from HM, the gameplay feels closest to Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, but with the storytelling elements from Harvest Moon 64. Considering how I find that those were my two favorite, game created a very special place in my heart.

Before I get into the topic of why I like this game so much, this is for before who are considering buying it: If you have ever played or liked Harvest Moon, it combines the best worlds of HM 64 storytelling, and better Friends of Mineral Town gameplay.
