I see this as high unlikely. There is very little combat to get a combat ranking of S with your partner. Unless the Risen start invading the overworld again.

What really gets me is, unlike the other fallout games where the main character has lived and grown up in the vaults and wastelands, if this player character is actually from the past, it will make his interactions, and how he knows so little of the world, so unique and genuine.

That’s true, which is why in the article someone recommended increasing it to 7 days instead of 1. That’s what would happen if Valve had included the community beforehand.

While I am a terrible procrastinator (I’ve dropped a lot of things halfway through), I currently have 30k in student debt. It will take me years before I am debt free, before I have any other debt.
The model was clearly broken at implementation, but like most broken things it had a chance to be fixed. However, without any warning or community input, they had no chance to see the major Day 1 flaws without people tearing it to pieces.
A major new program that would change a lot of things with no warning to the community? Major ball drop.
That’s why valve had the 1 day return policy in case the mod didn’t, and crappy mods would eventually be thrown to the side like any crappy game would. Charging would allow people to earn some money into the time they spent crafting their work, even if it is only a few cents at a time.
