Horizon was delayed to avoid crunch as well and that turned out great. God of War a solid Goty contender. Returnal was excellent.

Ps5 came out with good games and has consistently delivered, including Ratchet and Clank rift apart that was made without crunch. Honestly the only franchise that works consistently on Xbox is Forza and that's despite microsoft.

And how is Microsoft going to do that when they make billions in profits each year, bootlicker? Don’t bother answering, unless you can’t see the obvious.

This is a challenging moment in our business, and this week’s actions were painful choices.

I see we have a pro-corporate bot here. That didn’t take long.

Speaking here as someone who’s been laid off by Microsoft more than once (and eventually replaced by AI in one notable case), who’s struggling again to find work, and is running out of money:

Yep, Halo Infinite is 100% finished and does not need... oh, wait, hang on, my producer is telling me the game still needs tons of work.  So why the fuck are they laying off developers?  Got any other stupid comments, bootlicker?

Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, has a net worth of approximately $350M.  He could give $30k to every employee he fired and still have $50M left over, enough that he’s still rich beyond your wildest dreams.

Fuck this guy and all middle management types who feel so bad for having to let you go. This is seriously triggering.

A Sting concert just brings MORE pain.

This is painful but our priority is providing shareholders with more zeros in their balance sheets.

The joys of a public company answering to shareholders.

I have little problem placing the overwhelming majority of the blame for the current sorry state of Xbox on Phil Spencer. He had all last-gen to right the ship and make sure that Microsoft didn’t repeat the mistakes of the Xbox One, but so far he’s seeming little different than Don Mattrick. Just more likeable if you

Maybe a Sting concert will lessen the pain.

Microsoft only had a net income of $72.7B for 2022, so I can see how they just couldn’t possibly afford to keep those people employed.

If they have $70 billion to spend on Activision, then they have $70 billion to spend on current employees.

That’s some commitment to the retro-futurist world; it immediately reminded me of Fallout and its pre-apocalypse vision of an alternative 1950s America. Seems to be playing it much straighter than that particular story. I never thought AppleTV would be the service that has been consistently serving the most

I’m digging the vibe so far, and I’m reasonably sure this was Cave Johnson’s first job.

It seems a bit unfair to compare Troy Baker’s performance with Pedro Pascal’s. In the show, Pedro has...his whole body to act with? Or are you including 2013 animation (which was quite good, but not exactly human) as part of the “performance”?
