Biden and Sanders are just too damn old to be president. There, I’ve said it. Biden would be 78 when he is sworn in and Sanders would be 79. For arguably the most stressful aging job in the world. Unless they do it like Trump. And let me add that incumbency gives a candidate a huge advantage. We lose that with Biden…
Holy lack of information Beth. Jeezus do a little more research.
“People who think like this are selfish and childish?” People who believe in basic human rights? Yeah, how awful of them.
It’s been 18 years since 9/11. That’s crazy to think about, and sobering. It’s also been been interesting to observe the passage of time effecting this particular day. In the immediate years following it was like a raw wound, and then it became a sharp ache, and now it’s kind of a brief twinge you ignore as soon as…
200 people doesn’t even approach statistical significance. It’s not even a rounding error. But sure, I guess those people are having “loads” of health issues.
a star for you. laughed loud enough to get some office prairie dogs popping.
I think you’d be hardpressed to find anyone who thinks that there shouldn’t be a second of overtime in game development. It’s tough to schedule “finding the fun,” and no amount of buffer can account for every possible factor that goes into making something great. The problem is that the video game industry is built on…
About ten minutes ago: I’m done with hype culture, these crowds will cheer about anything. Nothing’s exciting about E3 these days.
Counterpoint: No, he doesn’t. He’s a genuinely good person who is imperfect, like everyone is, but is actually willing to learn and grow.
People moshing. Which would not have been at all confounding except that the band playing was They Might Be Giants.
In any other more sane version of this world, I’d agree with you, but I’m really starting to believe that anyone who can objectively be described as a “Trump loyalist” won’t renounce Heir Cheeto over anything less than each individual voter seeing Trump pegged by Putin on stage, in person, at one of Trump’s rallies…
If Trump is not your “red line” for impeachment, you don’t have a red line, and impeachment literally means nothing. It’s really just that simple. If a president can commit “high crimes and misdemeanors” in plain sight, and that’s not enough to demand the starting of proceedings, then it the process doesn’t actually…
You are done sweetening it when a spoon stands straight up in it.
I can confirm that I had a bunch of cards that had "excellent" approval odds a few years ago. I didn't need it, but I didn't not need it, so I said what the hell and applied. Application was approved in a few minutes for a decent rewards/cash back card. CK's scoring is off, but the rest of their info is pretty spot-on
I don’t know specifically about Credit Karma recommendations, but I know going the secured card route was instrumental in building my credit. (I went with Discover It, for those curious, because it had no annual fees and had double point rewards for the first year.)
I have been using CK to rebuild my credit score since my 2012 BK. I have not steered me wrong. One of their recommend CC got me $15K credit limit (760 Equifax). If there is a peculiar card you are interested, take the time to read CK user reviews and their experiences when they applied.
I don’t know about the idiots review-bombing (which is a stupid pastime for idiots), but for me... I’m tired of needing to make Yet Another Account on Yet Another Launcher/Storefront every time I turn around. And I’m also not interested in spreading my payment info onto even more systems that could be hacked.
I remember this - it was pretty traumatic. Oddly none of my peers seemed to remember it (possibly their parents wisely kept them from seeing it), so it wasn’t the cultural touchstone that it seemed like it should have been.
Special Bulletin and HBO’s Through the Looking Glass make a great faux news nuclear peril double feature.
